Effective Date: 1 June 2025
1. Scope of Services
H2OGuru (Pty) Ltd provides expert water testing services across South Africa, including:
- Drinking Water Compliance (SANS 241)
- Bottled Water Certification (SANS 1657)
- Borehole, Irrigation, Wastewater, and Effluent Testing
- Turnkey Water Remediation Advice and Qualified Installations
- We also supply and install trusted water treatment systems using SANAS-compliant data and industry-standard equipment.
2. Sampling & Testing
H2OGuru offers on-site sampling by trained personnel, or clients may opt for courier collection using approved procedures.
All test results reflect the quality of the water at the time of sampling.
Once a sample is collected by H2OGuru, sampled, collected by courier, or submitted to the laboratory, the client becomes fully liable for the test cost.
Sampling and courier services are payable and non-refundable once the sample has been taken.
Test turnaround times are estimates. Microbiological testing may require repeat or confirmatory analysis under SANAS protocols, which may result in extended timelines.
3. Reporting & Remediation
Reports include lab-certified results and expert interpretation, explaining risks and compliance clearly.
We offer turnkey treatment recommendations, tailored to your results and site requirements.
Advice is based on national standards and best practices, but implementation should be confirmed with qualified technicians — which H2OGuru offers.
4. Product Sales & Installations
We supply and install:
- ScaleStop Anti-Scale Systems
- Big Blue Filters & UV Units
- Custom Filtration Systems for Boreholes and Irrigation
- All systems are covered by standard manufacturer warranties.
- H2OGuru is a qualified installer, and performance is only guaranteed when installation is done by our team.
- All quotations are budgetary and subject to confirmation after site inspection.
5. Payments & Client Liability
Water testing must be paid in full before results are released.
A 80% deposit is required for equipment or installation projects, with the balance payable on delivery or completion.
Once sampling has occurred or a courier has collected the sample, the client is legally liable for the testing and collection costs.
Additional fees may apply for extended travel, resampling, or special requests.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
Testing bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment may incur a callout fee.
No refunds will be issued once a sample has entered the lab testing process.
Products may be returned within 7 days in unused, original condition — subject to handling fees.
Custom solutions, used products, and opened filtration items are non-refundable.
7. Limitation of Liability
H2OGuru is not liable for:
- Damages from misuse of test results or failure to act.
- Illness, financial loss, or environmental harm from untreated water.
- Installations done by third parties.
- Indirect or consequential damages exceeding the original invoice value.
8. Privacy & POPIA Compliance
We comply fully with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Client data and test results are confidential and shared only with laboratory and courier partners directly involved in service fulfilment.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us.
9. Website Use & Intellectual Property
All content, reports, and resources on www.h2oguru.co.za are the intellectual property of H2OGuru (Pty) Ltd.
No part may be copied, distributed, or reused without written permission.
Abuse of our booking or test request systems may result in account suspension.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes will be handled in the courts of Gauteng.
